Getting Started & Your First VisitsAbout Chiropractic Care & What to ExpectOngoing Care & Integrated Therapies
Chiropractic adjustments are gentle, specific, and tailored to the individual. Most people find treatment comfortable and often notice improvements in movement, posture, tension, or overall ease afterwards.
As your body begins adapting to improved movement and alignment, some temporary soreness or stiffness can occasionally occur — similar to how you may feel after exercise.
This is completely normal and usually settles quickly.
The popping or cracking sound you may hear during an adjustment is completely normal. It’s simply gas being released from the joints as pressure changes within the area — similar to cracking your knuckles.
Not every adjustment creates a sound, and the sound itself is not what determines whether the adjustment has been effective.
Everyone heals at a different pace. Factors such as how long the issue has been present, the severity of the problem, lifestyle habits, stress levels, and consistency with care all play a role in recovery.
During your Day 2 visit, your chiropractor will explain your findings and give you realistic expectations based on your individual goals and examination results.
Everybody responds differently to chiropractic care. Some people notice immediate improvements in movement, posture, energy, or tension levels, while others experience more gradual changes over time.
It’s also normal to feel mild soreness or stiffness after an adjustment as your body adapts to new movement patterns and improved function. If your problem has been developing over a long period of time, meaningful and lasting change may require consistency and patience.
We’ll guide you through every stage of your care journey and make sure you always know what to expect.
Yes — but only if you’ve previously had an initial consultation with us within a suitable time frame.
If it has been too long since your last visit, we may recommend a Health Review appointment before continuing care. This allows us to reassess your health, check how your spine and nervous system are functioning, and ensure chiropractic care is still appropriate and safe for you.
Following the review, you will have the opportunity to receive an adjustment provided there are no red flags or clinical concerns that would prevent us from proceeding with treatment.
